Those who tempt others to commit sin will be horrible punished in purgatory.

Fr. NicholaZuchin, a Jesuit priest of Rome had three sisters. They were in their teenage. The priest, seeing that they were being tempted by the confusions of their age, he gave them good counsels which gave excellent results. His sisters repented, hated the world, entered into the religious life and started doing penance. A rich young man, who loved the youngest of the three, was still writing letters to her. She did not like it and therefore complained about this to her brother, Fr. NicholaZuchin. He called for the young man, rebuked him and advised him saying, “Do not tempt the servants of God. Take care of the welfare of your soul since you will have to give an account of your life to God in a few days.” But he disregarded his advice. After 15 days, he died, but only after making a good confession and with a good preparation for death. As the three Sisters were talking about various things one day, the youngest Sister heard a clear voice which said to her, “You must come to the door.” Unafraid of this, she went to the door to find the dead young man standing there. She understood that he was the one who called her and asked him, “Why did you call me? What do you want?”

But he said nothing but removed his mantle. The nun saw a chain of fire tied around his neck. His hands and legs were also tied with the same chain. Showing this, he requested her saying, “Pray for my soul” and vanished. The young nun became very sad. And she helped the soul by fasting and almsgiving. Her good deeds were a great help to him to decrease his pains.

Christians! That rich young man, though died after a good confession and with a good preparation, suffered a lot in purgatory for trying to induce others to sin. Therefore be careful never to induce anyone to follow the sinful ways, because, to instigate others to commit sin and give a bad counsel is a great sin which makes a soul to suffer a very terrible pain in purgatory even after a good confession and a good preparation.
